NOTES

Stated elevations usually reflect the USGS printed spot elevation ; with a few exceptions.  For detailed documentation on the selection of elevation values for U.S. peaks click HERE.

Stated prominence value is "Interpolated Prominence"; i.e. the prominence value that we derive from taking the mid-point of the possible summit and saddle elevations given the contour interval on the USGS topographic mapping.  "Clean Prominence" is the minimum possible prominence value according to the best available mapping.  To convert from Clean to Interpolated add Prominence + (Elevation Error + Saddle Error)/2.

Colorado has 80 peaks with a Clean Prominence of 2,000 feet, and two peaks within the error range.
